Shashi Sharma Majgainya

Shashi Sharma Majgainya

Shashi Sharma Majgainya is a multi-faceted personality—social activist, development professional, registered advocate (Nepal Bar Council), and renowned lyricist. He holds Master's degrees in English Literature and Political Science and is also a graduate in Law and Rural Development. With over two decades of experience in the development sector, music, and literature, he is widely recognized for his literary and artistic contributions. He has also made a mark in media as a well-known emcee, television, and radio personality. Majgainya served two tenures as the fifth president of Rapati Samaj Kathmandu, during which he played a pivotal role in expanding the organization's reach worldwide by establishing multiple committees in different countries. During his tenure, Rapati Samaj Kathmandu gained immense name and fame, and its activities were widely recognized and rigorously executed. Many social initiatives were undertaken, including aid for flood victims, earthquake victims, fire victims, the sick, and underprivileged individuals. He led several fundraising efforts and organized large-scale donations to support those in need. His contributions to Nepal’s music, literature, and development sectors have earned him national and international recognition. Recently, in August 2024, he was honored in the United States by Rapati Samaj America in recognition of his outstanding contributions. He now serves as a patron of Rapati Samaj Kathmandu.

Currently, he serves as an Assistant Professor of Environmental Science at a university, where he continues to influence policy and education in sustainability.
